1. Deliverable H: Final Business Case and Written Report

Your final hard copy and CANVAS (PDF) deliverable will be a detailed Business Case document according to the Document Outline below.  You should definitely have references included in the Appendix.

Document Outline: (Short Written Report about 8-12 pages)

• Executive Summary (one page or less) executive overview that presents the key elements of the Business Case including problem, product/service offering, market description, competitor environment, pricing strategy, and monthly revenue / gross margin over 3 years (business chart). Include a go / no go recommendation.
• Solution Overview (1 page) - present the problem and solution that you are proposing with a clear and concise description, as well as photos and/or diagrams of your pretotype. Include a table of Features and Benefits as well as customer value.
• Your Story (1 page) – Use the Fairytale method in chapter 7 to tell your story. Include your assumptions in a table and add explanations in text where needed for clarity.
• Market and Competitor Analysis (1-2 pages) – provide your market and competitor analysis updated from Deliverable B with market data, market trends business charts, customer/buyer profile and competitor analysis table or matrix.

• Special Funding Strategies/Social Impact – Program services are the basic offerings that a social venture or a nonprofit organization provide that result in revenue. Include some of the offerings that you will be providing to maintain the sustainability of the venture.
  • Financial Analysis (1-2 pages) – describe the type of financing for this venture (debt, equity, or non-loans financing.

 Appendix. Be sure that this section is very clear, logically developed and concise as an executive will pay a lot of attention to this section. Summarize your team’s final opinion about the motivation of the team to pursue the opportunity, and a statement on whether or not this business case should be recommended to proceed or pass in the final analysis.

• Provide your Social Business Model Lean Canvas graphic and briefly describe each element.
• Appendix – include references and detailed drawings, tables or business graphics.
